Green Lantern
"Green Lantern" by ONGA is inspired by the storytelling of Mr. Komsan, a tribal elder who recalls using an ancient hurricane lamp during childhood. This lamp would be lit when the power went out during rainstorms, casting light throughout the house and dispelling darkness alongside the rain. Known as the "Hurricane Lamp," it provided strong, resilient light even during storms due to its protected interior light source. This inspired the name "Green Lantern," reminiscent of how people traditionally used such lamps for guidance and illumination during travels, both on land and water.The artwork aims not just to be a piece of art, but also a source of support and reliability, much like the dependable hurricane lamp. It features extended parts (lantern wings) that offer shade from the sun and rain to a certain extent, while emitting light from within for nighttime illumination. Additionally, these light sections can be fitted with advertising posters, spreading useful information, guiding knowledge, or recommending tourist destinations and other places of interest.
